Banking is one business that is deemed "essential" during these emergency situations, meaning that Peoples Bank will remain open during this time. We will continue to operate our branches primarily through drive-thru windows and allowing in-branch transactions by appointment on a limited basis as deemed necessary by the staff.
Our Cary, Cornelius and Central Avenue branch locations do not offer drive-thru windows. Before you head out, check our branch locations page

The corporate office will continue to operate in support of our offices and customers. We appreciate your continued patience with the possibility of slower response times, but our teams are committed to serving you during these unprecedented times.
We strongly encourage customers to utilize our digital banking tools whenever possible:
- Use Online Banking and Mobile Banking for your everyday banking needs. If you are not currently enrolled in Online Banking, please click here for more information and to enroll today.
- Deposit checks using Mobile Check Deposit. Available in both the App Store or Google Play, our Mobile Banking App will allow you to deposit most checks right from your smartphone without a trip to the bank.
- Utilize banking features such as Mobile Wallet, whenever possible to limit your interaction with cash and transaction pads.
Regardless of the bank’s operating conditions, your money is insured by the FDIC. Deposits continue to be protected up to at least $250,000. For more information about FDIC insurance during this time, please refer to this FAQ document.
