Online banking update coming February 25, 2018

New features are coming to online banking! But, first things first…

Personal account holders who use categorization in online banking or PFM to track expenses, must download transactions before February 24th if needed for tax or historical records. See below for information on how to do that.

New! My Spending

We’ve added a new feature for personal account holders called My Spending to help you track your spending by automatically scanning your transactions and assigning to categories on the account screen. From a new My Spending page, you’ll automatically see your total spending for the week plus top spending categories. You can set limits and easily create alerts to let you know when you are approaching those limits. My Spending replaces the old PFM.

Upgrade! Spendable Balance

Also in this release is an upgrade to the Spendable Balance for personal account holders. You can now elect to include pending and scheduled payments and transfers in your money to avoid spending total.

New! Outside Account Aggregation

Personal and business account holders now have the ability to bring in outside accounts from other financial institutions. You’ll be able to see current balances and up to 30 days of recent activity of each synced outside account, all in the same place as your Peoples Bank accounts.

PFM and custom categories are being replaced by My Spending

Download your transactions by February 24th if you need to preserve your current categorization for historical or tax purposes.

Current PFM users should go to the PFM tab in online banking and click the Transactions menu. Select the date range to download, then click the download button:

You’ll need to do this for each account you have linked in PFM. A *.csv file will be downloaded to your computer which can be opened in Microsoft Excel or other popular spreadsheet programs.

If you utilize the categorization of transactions on the account screen but do NOT use PFM, click the Download File button, select the date range and click Download File.
