NEWTON, NC – Peoples Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Hollar, CPA, to its Board of Directors. Mr. Hollar brings more than 28 years of executive leadership, entrepreneurial experience, and financial expertise that will further strengthen the Bank’s commitment to serving communities across North Carolina.
A North Carolina Certified Public Accountant, Hollar has built a distinguished career spanning accounting, financial management, strategic advisory services, business growth, and organizational development. Throughout his career, he has provided guidance to business owners and executive leadership teams on strategic decision-making, operational improvement, financial planning, scalability, complex transactions, and business exits.

Early in his career, Hollar worked with Deloitte & Touche (now Deloitte) and David, Holland & Whitesell, PLLC, where he served clients ranging from closely held businesses to Fortune 500 companies. He later founded a CPA and business advisory firm that has helped organizations achieve sustainable growth and long-term success through strategic financial guidance and operational leadership.
His entrepreneurial experience extends beyond his advisory practice. Hollar has been a founding member of multiple companies, including a recently launched healthcare revenue recovery and consulting firm. His broad business background provides a unique perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing businesses throughout the region.

Hollar earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Appalachian State University. A resident of Conover, North Carolina, he brings to the Board a strong understanding of the business community throughout the surrounding region and extensive experience working with organizations of all sizes.
