Peoples Bank Recognizes Nick Walden’s Service

Peoples Bank is pleased to name Nick Walden as its 2025 Volunteer of the Year

Recognized for his dedication to community service, Nick’s leadership has been instrumental in addressing a wide range of community needs, from providing safe and affordable housing, to supporting adult care and crisis-assistance initiatives.

As a board member for Catawba Valley Habitat for Humanity, Nick has helped ensure families have access to homeownership. His work on the endowment committee for Ashure Ministries has strengthened the foundation of programs providing vital resources for those in need. Additionally, as the board treasurer for Adult Life Programs, his financial stewardship has helped to safeguard the sustainability of adult care services.

In 2025, Peoples Bank employees collectively contributed more than 1,300 community service hours. Employees supported a wide array of causes, including civic organizations, non-profits, health initiatives, education, and economic development.
