What you need to know about the Equifax data breach

On September 7, 2017, Equifax, one of the largest consumer credit agencies, announced that a data breach potentially affecting 143 million U.S. consumers. The data breach included Social Security numbers, names, addresses, driver’s license numbers, dates of birth, and in some cases, credit card numbers.
